10 Things You Must Know about the ABLE Act [NAMI.org]

logoIn December 2014, the Achieving Better Life Experience (ABLE) Act was signed into law. The law allows those living with disabilities, developed before the age of 26 (including serious mental health conditions), and their families to set up a tax-exempt savings account that can be used to help with out of pocket costs.  The ABLE Act is the first of its kind to recognize that there are added costs to living with a disability.  Micheal Morris, the executive director of the National Disability Institute, created a video about the 10 things you should know about ABLE accounts.
