Senate Resolution 346 - Recognizing the Importance and Effectiveness of Trauma-Informed Care Passes!

On Tuesday, May 22, 2018, the U.S. Senate passed SR346. The Resolution was co-sponsored by Senator Johnson and Senator Heitkamp. The Campaign for Trauma Informed Policy and Practice, Fostering Futures, and most notably, First Lady Tonette Walker were instrumental in making a significant difference in advancing the culture change that we know makes a difference for survivors of trauma.

This Resolution is the companion piece to the Resolution the U.S. House of Representatives passed in February - HR443.

I wanted to give a shout out to CA for passing through the house a resolution that May 22nd be determined Trauma-informed Awareness day. Hoping this will be approved by the CA Senate as well soon!
