How do Adverse Childhood Experiences play out in your home, school or classroom?

Understanding Adverse Childhood Experiences begins with you.  Parker Palmer puts forth: “We Teach Who We Are”.  Hmmm… I hadn’t really thought about that until I got so frustrated and kept complaining about how the kids this and the kids that… and that complaining thing never works.

So, I decided to change.  I realized that the only thing I could change was me, and my behavior.  And yes, that meant checking in with my thinking and belief system about how things were and should be.

Here’s another quote,  “Children learn what they live” said poet Dorothy Law Nolte, Ph.D.   Hmmm.. more food for thought.
