Paper Tigers Documentary Screening [Los Angeles, CA]

REMINDER TO RSVP

A New Film Tells the Story of a School that Succeeded by Helping Students Heal from Childhood Trauma

Please join us for a film screening of James Redford's new documentary, Paper Tigers, followed by a panel discussion with local educators and students leading innovative approaches for addressing trauma and building resilience.

On Wednesday, July 8th, join us for a screening of Paper Tigers, a documentary that focuses on teenage struggles in a Washington state high school. The film explores how new trauma-informed approaches are significantly improving students' academic performance while decreasing their behavioral problems. Research shows that childhood trauma affects academic success, especially for children in underserved communities.

Following the screening there will be a panel discussion with the film's director James Redford, local educators and youth to discuss the potential outcomes of this model addressing trauma in and out of the classroom. Please join us on July 8th to see how this approach has had real and lasting impact on one community.
