PAPER TIGERS: One School’s Unlikely Success (Austin, Texas)

SXSW EDU COMPANION FILM SCREENINGS

Please join us at SXSWedu this year for the first-ever companion screenings of RESILIENCE: The Biology of Stress & The Science of Hope, and PAPER TIGERS. SXSWedu® Conference & Festival fosters innovation in learning by hosting a diverse and energetic community of stakeholders across a variety of backgrounds in education.

KPJR Films' Director of Communications & Community Engagement Lynn Waymer, and Co-Producer Dana Schwartz will direct a special Q&A session after the following conference screenings, speaking to the power of film to champion awareness and drive community action.

PAPER TIGERS and  RESILIENCE:  The Biology of Stress & The Science of Hope are companions films directed and produced by KPJR Films- a collaboration between editor, writer and film producer, Karen Pritzker; Co-Producer Dana Schwartz, a social worker;  and award-winning documentary film Director James Redford. Both films explore Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and the impact of toxic stress on the brain and overall health of children.  PAPER TIGERS and RESILIENCE  have been screened all over the world to audiences of educators, parents, legislators, policy advocates, federal agencies and physicians who hope to better understand and work directly to improve the outcomes of children for generations to come.
