The Resilience Toolkit for Pregnancy

Research shows that stress before, during, and after pregnancy has a tangible and long-lasting effect on children and families. Join us for a compassionate look at the unique stress pregnant people experience during pregnancy, and how regulating the nervous system can lead to better outcomes for both pregnant people and babies. The Resilience Toolkit helps expecting parents and birth partners feel calmer and more able to meet the challenges of pregnancy, birth, and the early postpartum.

The Resilience Toolkit is a suite of mindfulness and movement tools that engage the body’s innate rebalancing process—providing an immediate experience of relaxation.  Develop a self-care practice that benefits not only mom, but baby and family as well.

In this 2-part workshop, you will:

  • Begin to develop an embodied awareness of personal stress and relaxation cycles.
  • Cultivate strategies to regulate stress symptoms that are distressing, too strong, or last too long.
  • Start a regular practice of The Resilience Toolkit to build internal resources and external resilience over time.

The Resilience Toolkit for Pregnancy is focused on expecting people, but birth partners will participate for their own benefit as well. The practices work for all body types, are easily adaptable, and are safe for pregnancy and postpartum. Once you’ve learned the skills in The Resilience Toolkit, both parents and partners can practice them independently, at your convenience. Empower your body to heal itself, and open up to a greater sense of joy and wholeness.
