Trauma Informed Care and Vulnerable Populations

This 2-day conference in Toledo, Ohio will help professionals understand how trauma shapes the individuals we serve, and how we can learn to serve with compassion and understanding.  Michelle Knight, survivor of the Cleveland abduction, will share her amazing story of survival.  Trauma experts including Mary Vicario and Carol Hudgins-Mitchell, Dr. Julie Gentile, and Dr. Adrienne Elhai, will share from their areas of proficiency.  Conference cost is $200 and includes breakfast, lunch, and contact hours/continuing education for Social Workers, Counselors, Psychologists, Nurses, and Lawyers as well as Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities employees.  Purchase Orders, Money Orders, and Cashier's Checks can be accepted for payment and should be made out to Lucas County Board of DD/Conference.  Please contact Lisha Washington at lwashington@lucasdd.org or (419) 381-5207 to register.
