Did you know 70% of U.S. adults have experienced trauma?

As a yoga instructor, you have probably experienced the healing power of this ancient practice and want to share that healing with the world. Even though we yogis try to proceed with the best of intentions, we may not realize that without proper training on trauma-informed service yoga, we could be leaving certain people feeling disempowered and marginalized.

About the Workshop

OG Yoga’s two-day “What Is Service Yoga 2.0” workshop provides an overview of service yoga, helping you understand the importance of trauma-informed yoga training. You’ll learn what makes service yoga different– from how the yoga room is set up, to use of terminology, and pose adjustments.

Who Does Service Yoga Help?

Service yoga is suited for individuals across the globe - those suffering from PTSD, trauma, abuse, disabilities, foster care and incarceration. With proper training in service yoga, instructors can impart a sense of ease, confidence and awareness for these individuals that can aid in recovery and healing. In addition, service yoga can provide practical, lifelong skills that these individuals can use as a resource, like breathwork and meditation.

It’s important to keep in mind that one does not have have to be impoverished, homeless, have mental illness, or be former military to suffer from PTSD and/or trauma. In fact, 70% of U.S. adults have experienced trauma.
