Building Family Bonds: A Free Workshop for Families To Help Families Rebuild, Renew, and Strengthen Relationship Impacted By Parental Mental Illness

This is a recurring event for 8 consecutive Tuesdays (through June 16, 2015)

Child and Family Connections offers the Building Family Bonds Workshops to teach family members how to repair, renew, and strengthen relationships impacted by parental mental illness in ways that build trust and communication and promote childhood and family resiliency. The proprietary curriculum is grounded in the latest research from Harvard, UCLA, Dartmouth and yet, the classes are engaging, emotional, uplifting, and even fun! Activities include:

Peer connections * Education & learning * Role playing * Guest speakers * Creative arts * Discussions * Refreshments * and much more!

Over eight consecutive weekly sessions, participants develop practical knowledge, skills, and tools that they then apply at home. Compassionate facilitators draw upon their own recovery experience, sharing creative and effective strategies they’ve developed to successfully care for themselves and their families. This is difficult and emotional work for everyone, but we do it in a safe and nonjudgmental environment. Tears meet hugs as people overcome years of crippling shame, guilt, and stigma.

Workshops are free of chargeRegistration is required as the number of available seats is limited. We hope you can join us!
