Deb:

I applaud you and Wilmington University for taking a lead in this work. I probably should have stated that I'm not in higher ed. I work with higher ed "end users." Using the parable of the river; my work has been focussing on pulling/preventing teachers from drowning in the classroom (prek-12, trauma-informed trainer) and realize someone needed to start meeting local teacher prep programs to fix that hole in the bridge.

In looking over your coursework; I can see a course like SOC 303 can lead students through ACEs/Race/Resilency/etc. Are your undergraduate ed departments working towards this goal as well?

From my discovery; many of the class selections (teacher undergrad prep programs) hasn't changed since I went through an ed program 30 year ago!

I'm trying to find opportunities where these two academia worlds can collaboratively build a more responsive solution to today's classroom realities.

Jim
