Hi everyone! I finally finished my Primer on Resilience, a follow-up to my Primer on Stress. These are meant to be the beginning of a larger trauma-informed project for parents and other caregivers. I loved the feedback everyone gave me on the last piece; it was invaluable. Thank you!

After this, the plan is to start filling in National and International resources for families and communities (doctors, social workers, schools, etc). After that, the course will finally be able to go live, and the hope is for that to happen in the next 6 months, preferably online first, then working on in-person group meetings.

Just as a quick a overview of the course:

"This is a 12 week series, open to couples with kids, single parents, and other full-time caregivers. The first 6 weeks focuses on YOU, the caregiver.

1) Self-Discovery will help you learn what motivates you, what patterns you tend to fall into, what gets in your way, and why.

2) Self-Awareness will help you unpackage the past, acknowledge your struggles, identify your triggers, and learn the ways in which they affect your parenting.

3) Self-Respect will help you set healthy boundaries in every aspect of your life, using everything you’ve learned about yourself in the first two steps, and teach you how to change any situation for the better.

You are not alone, you can change any situation if you want you.

The next 6 weeks will focus on your child, and how you relate to them.

1) Child-Discovery will help you understand what kind of personality your child has, what motivates them, which traits might just be temporary, and which traits might stick.

2) Child-Awareness will help you understand what biological, psychological, physical, and emotional needs your child has at their current stage, with their current set of traits, and how you can realistically help facilitate those needs.

3) Child-Respect will help you learn how to manage your expectations around your child’s current potential and limitations, how to be prepared for what might come next, and how to set the foundation for long-term mutual respect.

They are capable of change, and primed for growth."

Thanks, everyone!
