Hi - I recall reading here an article about restorative practices in African countries - the basic idea was that the community surrounds the person in a circle of support after the identified person has committed an un-lawful act or has withdrawn from the community via mental illness, suicidal attempts, etc.  The community asks the person a question similar to "how have we your community failed to support you - so that you felt you had to commit this desperate act?"  And "How can we better support you so that this will not happen again?"  I've searched various keywords, but have not found it.

Ideas?  This was certainly not posted in 2017, but likely 2015/16.

Thanks for your help!

Hi, Krys: I can't remember that far back!! However, if you do an advanced search (click on the little magnifying glass in the top blue nav bar, and then click on the words in blue "advanced search"), and then try different combinations, or even just the word "African" or "Africa", you may find it.

Cheers, Jane
