How-To: Customize Your Email Notifications for ACEs Connection Communities

  1. Go to Your Name in upper top right navigation bar.

  2. Click Notifications in the drop-down menu.

  3. To suspend all emails from the main site and all community sites you've joined, select the Settings box, check the box for Suspend All Email Notifications, scroll to the bottom and click on Update Settings.
  4. To control the types of email notifications you receive from community sites you've joined, (e.g., blog posts, calendar events), select Community Site Notifications.
  5. Then select the appropriate community from the drop down list, and make your choices, scroll to the bottom and click on Submit.

  6. Repeat this step for each community.
  7. To choose how to receive your notifications, go to Settings, and choose Email or On-Site Alert. Email means that notifications will be emailed to you. On-Site Alert means that when you sign into ACEs Connection, notifications will appear in your Alert section, which you can access by going to your name in the upper top right navigation bar, and clicking on Alerts in the drop-down menu.

"But to clarify, Rachel: You can opt to receive the Daily Digest Monday through Friday, or the Weekly Roundup on Wednesday."

How exactly step-by-step can you do this? When I go to Settings, and the Notifications, there is no option to select Daily Digest or Weekly Roundup under either the "Settings" tab or the "Instant Notifications" tab.

Hi, Lou:

But to clarify, Rachel: You can opt to receive the Daily Digest Monday through Friday, or the Weekly Roundup on Wednesday.

Those provide links to news articles that are of interest to the ACEs Connection community. They're not a compilation of email notifications from ACEs Connection to you.

Those you can choose to receive as they come in, or they can be sent to your Alert section, where you can check them when you sign in, or you can choose to receive no email notifications.

I hope this helps.

Cheers, Jane

Unfortunately, no. If you don't want to receive email notifications from ACEs Connection, I suggest going into your notifications (be sure you're signed in, mouse over your name, click on Notifications in the drop-down menu), and suspending all notifications from ACEs Connection. And then check in once a week and scroll through the Activity Stream (you can access it from the navigation menu at the top, or from the right column of the home page).

Cheers, Jane

Hi, Mariah: Please share if you're signed in to ACEs Connection. When you're signed in, please put your cursor on your name on the upper right hand of your screen. A drop-down menu comes up and you'll click on "Notifications".

This screen opens up.

Please know anything in color is active. When you click on "Settings" this is the area to shut off all notifications on the entire ACEs Connection site. When you click on "ACEs Connection Home Page", this is customizing what you choose to receive from the home page. When you click on "Community Site Notifications", you can customize any of the interest-based or geographic-based communities you're a member of.

Should we be able to help further in any way, please let us know.
