A Call to Action: Share Knowledge Now

Below are three short videos created to help people successfully leave shelter in place and if employed, return to physical work conditions with support that fosters productivity.  The video series is intended to expand knowledge and practices that improve our ability to manage stressful situations and emotions, especially increased anxiety and new triggers created by the corona virus.  They have brief, basic knowledge intended for an audience with little or know education regarding the impact of trauma or stress on our brains and bodies.

The first part, Awareness, explains in simple terms our brain and body systems and connections and the difference between reacting instinctively from high emotion or fear and responding thoughtfully.  The second part, Adjustment, focuses on our ability to control our reactions using regulation skills, thus expanding our ability to thoughtfully respond.  The third part, Action, explains the importance of sharing information about Awareness and Adjustment with all people in order to help systemically increase emotional control and understanding which will enhance productivity and compassion for ourselves and others.  (Business leaders who are interested in the broad intention of the video series could begin by watching the third part, Action, and then return to the previous two videos for more in-depth knowledge about Awareness and Adjustment.)

Feel free to share the videos with any person, business, agency or school.  As communities begin to leave shelter in place, it will be important that we all understand the difference between reacting instinctively or responding thoughtfully. We will be better equipped to share our calm compassion.

Part 1 Awareness          Part 2 Adjustment          Part 3 Action

If you do choose to share the videos, feel free to send me an email and let me know you have helped our world Come Together With Compassion!

The videos were posted on a previous post last week.  I received positive feedback from several small and large businesses who have no previous knowledge of the impact of trauma or stress on the brain and body. I created this blog to emphasize sharing the videos with all people!
