ACE Nashville Wins CNM Salute to Excellence Award

All Children Excel Nashville is proud to be the recipient of the inaugural United Way of Metropolitan Nashville Community Impact Award at this year’s Center for Nonprofit Management’s Salute to Excellence Awards (links to full article and a short video highlighting the work of the initiative). This award recognizes a cross-sector initiative working to alleviate poverty by impacting multiple dimensions of a system, including policy, practices, power dynamics, and relationships.

From ACE Nashville: "We cannot move the needle on such a complex and widespread public health issue such as adverse childhood experiences without the many partners who come to the table and work together. By promoting alignment across systems we can create lasting change to cultural norms that prevent and mitigate the lifelong impact of childhood adversity and ultimately improve the safety, health and prosperity of our community. This work is about linking and leveraging our collective influence to make BIG change. THANK YOU to our partners for being a part of this movement."

I am proud to be a part of this collective as we strive to make a difference. Sorry, I could not be there to celebrate this great accomplishment. I had to work last Thursday evening. I think we are headed to do more great things that will be recognized but more importantly will make a difference for families and children as we strive to prevent and mitigate  ACES.
