ACES prevention/Advancing Parenting

Trying to fix broken adults and children is frustratingly difficult and oftentimes not possible.  Let's use ACES science and move upstream to prevent adverse childhood experiences before they happen.  Visit advancingparenting.org to read about what we do, why we do it, and our plans for the future.  While you're at it order one of our fifty-one parenting tips bumper stickers for your car.  It will be read 1000s of times by 1000s of people, for years to come!

I Love the creativity.

I hope that we never lose our creativity.

Thanks David.

If you send me 2, I'll put one on my husband's car too.

Actually, it's working pretty well, David, in many many sectors: education, probation, social services, faith-based community. Adults are learning about ACEs science and completely changing how they understand their lives and it helps them want to learn how not to pass on ACEs to their children. We've done many articles about this.

Moving upstream is also important, but it's part of the entire whole.

Hi Jane,

I'm a newly active member and would love to know the most efficient way to access these particular articles - those aimed at parents.  Thank you so much! 😊

Hi David,

Thanks for this work.  I'm a newly active member of the ACEs community - specifically working to help "fix broken parents" as you put it, as I am one.  I just came off my first sabbatical and am about 1/3 way through a book on the subject.  My new podcast series titled "Have you faced your love story?" can be found here (brace yourself, I am modeling deep transparency, the second podcast is the hardest one I will ever do). I am happy to make your acquaintance through this post.  May you have broad reach and success.  Love, Aihi
