A special issue on the topic of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) is intended to articulate critical concepts, to demonstrate the significance and relevance of psychological research and practice, and to catalyze further efforts to develop effective programs and policies that reflect current science.
The goal of this special issue is to publish articles that encompass the range of work being conducted in research, practice, programs, and policy in psychology and allied disciplines. This emphasis is captured in its subtitle: "Translation to Action."
We invite authors to propose papers that synthesize conceptualizations and research within the ACEs framework broadly defined and to offer new and innovative approaches that reflect the emphasis on the scientific base in psychology and the Translation to Action theme.
