Coming soon: BUILD HEALTH CHALLENGE 2019 Call for Applications

Is your local ACEs initiative built upon multi-sector and community-driven partnerships? If it is and you’re seeking to accelerate your ACEs initiative in 2019, take a look at the BUILD Health Challenge. They describe this future funding opportunity on their website (hyperlinked above). See if your local ACEs initiative efforts align with the BUILD Health Challenge funding criteria.

BUILD: Bold, Upstream, Integrated, Local, Data-driven

A Call for Applications will be released in the first quarter of 2019 in search of awardees for an all new third cohort. Kicking off in the fall of 2019, this award cycle will continue for two-and-a-half years. Awardees will be eligible to receive up to $250,000 in funding from the BUILD Health Challenge, have access to dedicated capacity building support, and join a national peer network.  See attached for printable references.

BUILD is a national program that strengthens partnerships between community-based organizations, hospitals and health systems, local health departments, and others, to cultivate a shared commitment to moving resources, attention, and action upstream to drive sustainable improvements in community health.

BUILD specifically addresses: social determinants of health, health disparities, health equity, and upstream.  Click HERE to learn what other's have done.

The BUILD Health Challenge is contributing to the creation of a new norm in the U.S., by putting multi-sector, community-driven partnerships at the center of health to reduce health disparities caused by system-based or social inequity. Click HERE to learn a bit more.

BUILD Health Challenge will conduct a series of webinars and information sessions once the Call for Applications has been released.

I hope my local IORA [a multi-state health network] Primary Care provider will avail this information, since our UNH Research Department just began a [state-wide] "Community Matters" survey of individual municipalities.    ...   I miss the old "Consumer Majorities" we had during the tenure of the National Health Planning and Resources Development Act of 1974 (Public Law 93-641)... until those 'Consumer Majorities' provisions were 'gutted' during the Reagan administration.
