The Government Alliance on Race and Equity 2020 Annual Membership Meeting, Confronting Today’s Reality: Restoration, Learning, and Action will be held in Portland, Oregon on April 14th-16th!
Confronting Today’s Reality: Restoration, Learning, and Action will feature some of the things you’ve loved about past gatherings and some new features incorporated by popular demand:
- Workshops conceived and delivered by members for members, advancing a national GARE platform. Workshops will be organized by purpose so participants will know clear objectives from each session.
- Focused time for subject area working groups to share and expand their promising practices.
- Regional sessions that will support development of regional action plans for 2020-21.
- Inspirational plenary speakers that bind the various elements of the meeting together and build a vision for the road forward.
- A deeper integration of arts and culture into the meeting.
- Site visit opportunities to understand the emerging racial equity context of our host city.
