Drug abuse among children in Pakistan reaches alarming level

In Pakistan, seven hundred thousand children’s are addicted to drugs. Seven hundred children die of drug addiction in the country.

That number is higher than the people who have been killed by terrorism.

Over ten hundred thousand children’s are between the age of 16 to 18 regularly using heroin.

Another three hundred thousand children are addicted to cannabis or marijuana.

Pakistan has a high number of children suffering with cannabis and marijuana due to low price and easy access to drugs.

Research has shown that children with the age of 16 to 18 who smoke and use alcohol easily rubbed off to addiction.

Child with drug addiction removes himself from the society, even he/she gets different disease. Loss the family confidence as well as involve himself in crimes to get the drugs. Child with heavy use of drug cause results in death.

Any suggestions from ACEs members will be highly appreciated as how to control this level.
