This Video Series will synthesize the content and curriculum of Myrna Martin's 3-year professional in-class Pre and Perinatal training program (which she has taught to 7 cohorts over the past 16 years), with integrated knowledge from neuroscience, epigenetics, attachment, somatic and trauma informed psychology.
The pre- and perinatal paradigm for health and healing has immense importance to human development. Experiences - prenatally, during birth and in the first year of life - forms the template for our relationship to ourself, to others, our capacity to learn, our stress coping style, and our physical health decades later.
We are making the Video Series so that this vital knowledge could be shared with a wider audience around the world who would otherwise not be able to attend the training in person, but could benefit tremendously.
This Series will adequately prepare parents and a wide range of health professionals to support resolution of issues stemming from early developmental trauma such as difficult births, neonatal intensive care, surgeries, hospitalizations of child or parent, adoption, insecure attachment, pre-maturity or mistreatment.
