Job Opportunity - Managment Analyst - Department of County Human Services

 

The Management Analyst supports the Department's Director and Deputy Director by managing highly visible and complex projects by: developing and tracking critical milestones; monitoring project tasks, scope and resources; and addressing risks and problems.  Supervises the provision of administrative support to the Director and Deputy Director. Directs a variety of management services, including: policy and procedure analysis and development; legislative analysis; meetings and hearings; and strategic communication.  Functions as personal assistant to the Director and coordinates with other County departments, elected officials and community partners.

As the Management Analyst  you will:

  • Assist the Director in managing critical, highly visible issues identifying potential risk and managing related communications.
  • Develop communication strategies to provide information regarding department services; strategic plan, policies and procedures.
  • Manage the development of department-wide policies and procedures, ensuring that a racial justice/equity lens is used in developing and updating all department policies and procedures.
  • Assist inquirers in obtaining and providing relevant information regarding Department services, policies and procedures.
  • Explore and pursue new areas of organizational change, provide critical analysis of systemic needs for improvement and makes systems change recommendations.
  • Coordinate the development of systems to monitor progress, the effectiveness and results of the department's strategic business plan, programs and initiatives.
  • Develop and manage department wide implementation strategies for county and department strategies, policies, goals and projects.
  • Manage and coordinate projects for the Director’s office having significant organizational and/or programmatic impact.
  • Lead and/or facilitate group work sessions, planning sessions, giving and managing assignments, and follow-up.

  • Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree and
  • Three years of experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, with a focus on experience working in a complex human services organization.
