NEW Evidence-Based Programs Database - Safe Start Center

"This week the Safe Start Center launched a new tool to help practitioners on the community level provide effective programs to help children exposed to violence.

The Children Exposed to Violence Evidence-Based Programs Database is a collaborative effort between Safe Start and Crime Solutions, funded by the US Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs.  The searchable database provides professionals working in diverse systems with free and easy access to vital information about programs specifically aimed to prevent and reduce negative impacts of children’s exposure violence. Each program has been reviewed and rated utilizing a scientific rating scale to determine the level of evidence for effectiveness in reaching desired outcomes.  Coming soon is an implementation section that will provide online resources to raise awareness of the importance and support the implementation of evidence-based practices in community-based settings."
