New members joining in the first half of September...social workers, psychiatrists, DV and peer support workers and one who supports these types of people in their work

During the first half of September, nine people joined ACEsConnection....from the East and West Coasts of the U.S., the Midwest, and one person from New Zealand. Thanks to you all -- with the community growing at such a good clip, we have many more resources to share.

Carol Meade, Newhall, IA, does social work, behavioral health and management at St. Luke's Hospital. Many of the kids she works with have experienced trauma.

Nathaline Frener, Eugene, OR, is a program supervisor in the Domestic Mediation Program for Lane County.

Fiona Clapham Howard, Christchurch, New Zealand, is project lead for Te Pou o Te Whakaaro Nui, an organization that supports and develops the mental health, addiction and disability workforces in New Zealand. She develops and delivers trauma-informed training for mental health staff, and the supporting policy. 

Anne Carter, Jamaica Plain, MA, is a psychiatrist who is interested in early-child care-taking relationships and longterm effects, especially in relationship to mental health.

James Biela, Bethel, AK is a school social worker in the Lower Kuskokwim School District in Bethel, AK. He also volunteers as the lead field advocate for the Alaska Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Maggie Bennington-Davis, Portland, OR, is a psychiatrist at Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare.

Diane Hazen, Wichita, KS, is a certified peer support specialist at the Mental Health Association of South Central Kansas

Michel Wall, Downey, CA, is a domestic violence victim advocate at Southern California Alcohol and Drug Programs, Inc.

Kelli Hoekstra, Renton, WA, is a social worker who manages family support at Puget Sound Educational Service District, where she's working on developing compassionate schools.
