It’s Not Always Depression:
Listen to the Body. Discover Core Emotions.
Connect to Your Authentic Self

I am really excited to chat with author and psychotherapist, Hilary Jacobs Hendel on Wed. March 28th at 7pm PST about her new book, It’s Not Always Depression: Listen to the Body. Discover Core Emotions. Connect to Your Authentic Self.   I have read literally hundreds of books over the past three decades on how to resolve depression and anxiety, and must say that her body/mind approach to helping clients resolve depression, anxiety, shame, guilt, childhood trauma, anger, & sadness is heads & tails over the more common insight based, talk therapy that most therapists offer.

I love how she integrates the body & mind to help clients heal, while also bringing deep compassion & empathy, creating the space for total safety in her therapeutic approach.  She shares some very powerful dialogue between her and her clients in the book that I could really relate to.  She offers a simple, effective tool called The Change Triangle that facilitates clients in getting in touch with defenses that mask deep, unconscious, core emotions that have been the root cause of what has been wreaking havoc in their lives, which then frees them up to live more connected, fulfilling, joyful lives.

If you are struggling with any type of depression, anxiety, childhood trauma, relationship issues, etc. this show is for YOU!

I am passionate about sharing emotion education with the public because it is missing from our formal education and this hurts us.
