Webinar: Healing Child Suicide Threats Through the Family

Youth suicide has risen 56% from 2007 to 2017 in the US according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention's recent Vital Statistics report released in September 2020. Fear and isolation from the global pandemic are growing more concern for youth mental health and well-being.  Treatment for suicidal threats often occurs with just the individual child with little to no active family participation.

In this webinar, Dr. Scott Sells will share:

• Why suicides have risen in the context of the stressed-out family with generational trauma and the onset of environmental crises like COVID isolation.

The FST | Family Systems Trauma model provides mental health professionals with tools and techniques to strengthen and build relationships with parents, extended family, and others who support the family.

Thank you for doing this.  There is not enough info out there regarding prevention and the tools necessary to detect suicidal tendencies.  Families are scared and they just don't know what to do, so they sweep it underneath the rug.  I know, I was the suicidal one.  I'm going to share it to my nonprofit's FB page.  Thank you for taking the time to build this webinar and share it with all of us!

Blessings, Tammy
