Where Does OUT OF CONTROL drug use fit in ACES too HIGH?

Does anyone out here share my concern with a preoccupation in health care with drugs? I'm thinking for example of Ritalin and other ADHD meds, the significant immunization schedule that we expose babies to so early on and even PPIs. I'm not a pediatrician but understand that adverse experiences come in many forms. WHITE COATS too. Are we as docs sometimes making it worse with the ease with which we prescribe meds?

After learning about the ACE Study and the accompanying brain research, I've wondered the same thing myself about ADHD meds. In a child, if the normal response to trauma and toxic stress is anxiety, lack of focus, aggressiveness, etc., aren't we masking the symptoms and not addressing the source of the problem?
