Who are we? What's our interest in ACEs? Part 53

Alexandra Addo-Boateng, Rebecca May, Joann Young and Kim Swisher joined ACEs Connection in July. Here's some info about each, and a link to their profile pages, where you can friend them, send a message, and see all their comments and activity on the network.

Alexandra Addo-Boateng, Clovis, CA -- Alexandra is a marriage and family therapist who's interested in gaining a better understanding of the ACEs model.

Rebecca May, Bemidji, MN -- Rebecca isΒ a social worker and mental health practitioner who works for the Leech Lake Reservation. She works with children up to 4 years old. She notes that she's been "deeply struck by the implications of how early childhood experiences that impact a child's attachment relationships with care providers can often accurately predict the later development of specific mental illnesses and physical diseases. This body of research seems to validate observations I have made in clients over the past decade".

Joann Young, Des Moines, IA -- Joann is a social worker and ACEs survivor.

Kim Swisher, Fairbanks, AK -- Kim is a social work educator.
