Workshops to explore effects of negative childhoods on community - Washington

ACEs Connection member Teri Barila has organized these events for her community.

"The impact on adverse childhood experiences on businesses and communities will be the subject of two free workshops coming next month at the Walla Walla Police Department....

"In Walla Walla County, nearly one in three people report having experienced emotional abuse growing up. Nearly 25 percent report having been sexually abused. Substance abuse, loss of a parent and mental illness and domestic violence are also commonly reported...."
