ASTHO Connects Webinar: Primary Prevention of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)

Join us for a discussion on how states are using the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) module and other data sources on ACEs to inform their primary prevention work. This webinar will feature a targeted discussion on the connection between ACEs and other health problems, including substance misuse, suicide, chronic disease, other forms of violence, and intergenerational patterns leading to poor health outcomes. Speakers from the New York State Department of Health will discuss how they are using the ACEs BRFSS to inform their substance use work. In addition, practitioners from the Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth will highlight how they are using ACEs data to inform their Building Strong Brains initiative. States will share strategies, challenges, key partnerships, and lessons learned in using ACEs data for primary prevention!
