Cost of ACEs in Alaska Lunch and Learn: How do ACEs Impact our Community, Workplaces and State (AK)?

Adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) are a significant contributor to the issues our communities struggle with, from educational outcomes to job productivity and employment, from chronic diseases and addictions to public safety, costing Alaska an estimated $866 million per year.

Learn about the impact of ACEs on our communities, workplaces and state at a special Lunch and Learn event on Wednesday, March 13, from 12 – 12:45 p.m. (AK Time, 4:00-4:45 pm ET) at the Butrovich Room 205, Capital Building, Juneau. Can’t attend in person? Watch live on the 360 North website. The presentation will also be archived and available for viewing later.

The presentation will be hosted by Laura Norton-Cruz, LMSW, director of the Alaska Resilience Initiative, a program of Alaska Children’s Trust. The event is open to individuals interested in this topic and conveniently takes place during the lunch hour.
