The Resilience Toolkit Facilitator Certification – Spring 2019

The Resilience Toolkit Facilitator Certification program is a rich experiential process that gives you the tools to take The Toolkit into the world. In a blended online and in-person format, the cohort-based program consists of recorded and live lectures, small group mentoring and discussion, peer and independent practice sessions, suggested reading and reflective writing, supervised teaching, and case consultation. Interactive and cooperative learning foster responsibility, self-awareness, and mastery. Please click here and carefully review the program requirements before enrolling. The Spring 2019 session of The Resilience Toolkit Facilitator Certification program has a maximum cohort size of 18 trainees, divided into mini-cohorts with a maximum of 6 trainees per group.


Mini-cohorts will meet online alternate Tuesdays from 5:00 pm -6:30 pm Pacific Time beginning 1/15/2019

Online Meeting Dates: 1/22, 2/5, 2/19, 3/5, 3/19, 4/2, 4/16, 4/30

Mandatory, in-person weekend workshop: Friday 3/1 from 5pm-8pm PST, Saturday 3/2 from 9am-5pm PST, and Sunday 3/3 from 9am-5pm PST

Tuition: $3,350 – Deposit of $980 via Eventbrite or check, plus choose from 4-month payment plan ($790 monthly for 3 payments) or 6-month payment plan ($474 monthly for 5 payments).*

Subsequent to providing your deposit, you will receive an email from info@theresiliencetoolkit.co with an Enrollment Form, Tuition Agreement, CC authorization form, and instructions for submitting your completed Toolkit Workbook. All materials must be submitted within 2 weeks of paying your deposit to reserve your spot in the program unless other arrangements have been made.

Nkem Ndefo, MSN, RN, CNM —Nkem has worked as a clinician, educator, and researcher in settings ranging from large-volume hospitals to small community clinics, and has maintained a busy holistic health private practice in Los Angeles since 2001. Jane Courtney, RN, SEP – Jane is a Resilience Toolkit Certification Trainer, Registered Nurse, and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. She holds a degree in Nursing from The University of Michigan and education in Somatic Relational Therapy and Somatic Practice. Jane specializes in helping clients heal grief, chronic pain, and “difficult to diagnose” health conditions. Read more…

Mary P. Shriver, CMT – Mary is a Resilience Toolkit Certification Trainer, Certified Provider of Trauma Release Exercises (TRE®), Licensed Massage Therapist, Certified Compassion Fatigue Educator, and holds a B.S. in Psychology from Denison University. Additional training includes the Trauma Resilience Model and Community Resilience Model through the Trauma Resource Institute, Motivational Interviewing for Behavior Change (MINT), and Level 1 Resistance Flexibility with Bob Cooley. Read more…

* Cancellation Policy: Registration fee is fully refundable prior to beginning program ONLY with at least 10 days written notice, minus a $100 USD administration fee.

* Withdrawal Policy: Participants who cancel with less than 10-day notice or withdraw early from the program will receive a prorated refund based on the number of weeks remaining at the point of withdrawal at $224 USD per week, minus an early withdrawal fee of 10% of the remaining balance.

* Program Extension Policy: Participants who do not complete the program in 17 weeks will incur a $200 USD monthly charge until program completion or withdrawal, whichever comes first. The monthly fee will not be prorated. If the Certification Trainer determines that extra supervisions are needed for the trainee to meet basic competency, the extra supervisions will be billed at $175/hour.

Professional Continuing Education Credits Registered Nurses: Participants eligible for 6.5 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) per in-person workshop day and 2.5 CEUs per in-person half workshop day from the California Board of Registered Nursing Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #CEP15871, for total of 15.5 Contact Hours
