Prompts to Ponder from Trauma-Informed Change is for Everyone at Bridging to Resilience 2019 Conference

  1. What brings you to this work? (this work means job, healing, change-the-world work, movement, anything that "the work" means to you)
  2. What makes it hard to show up? (at all, as yourself, in certain spaces)
  3. How often do you think, talk, share about these things?

These are prompts we'll be pondering together tomorrow in a workshop in KS.

This is a space to share some replies, if you're comfortable doing so. Leave a comment below this post.

Some inspiration.

Check out this early  morning tweet from one of the conference consultants (who I totally admire). Rebecca Lewis-Pankratz insists we address generational poverty and generational trauma at the same time and with hope, determination, and always, in community as community.

Questions lead to more questions. Here are others. Add your own.

  • Can we share together, as ourselves, as our whole selves including all of our lived and learned experiences and expertise?
  • If yes, where and how? If no, why not?
  • Is trauma-informed change something we do to communities or as community?
  • If how we do the work is the work we do - how are we doing?
  • Where can we grow, stretch, open, expand, allow and insist on making that circle and space bigger, wider, more inclusive?

Let's share, learn, "lean in," and as Rebecca says, get shoulder to shoulder.
