Thank you for such a comprehensive and needed resource! It needs to be shared with every professional association across health and behavioral health (which I just did a few of on twitter, plus via email), and academic programs across the health and human services!

I found 'For Your Own Good: Hidden Cruelty in Child-Rearing and the Roots of Violence' by Alice Miller to be a very enlightening book that is well worth a read. Miller explores the effects of centuries of cruel child-rearing practices and how the effects of traumatising childhoods reveal themselves in adults. One case she explores in depth is that of Adolf Hitler, and she takes the reader from Hitler's early childhood leading up to his unspeakable acts against Jews.
