The Traumatic Impact of Racism on Young People and How to Talk About It [Dr. Kenneth Ginsburg]

Dr. Kenneth Ginsburg (Keynote speaker from the recent Creating a Resilient Community Conference) shared the excerpt from his book Reaching Teens titled The Traumatic Impact of Racism on Young People and How to Talk About It.

This is a valuable resource for anyone interacting with youth and we are providing the excerpt as an attachment here for you to read and share.

Also, Dr. Ginsburg will be coming back to our community (virtually) and you’ll be invited to his workshop. Look out for the next opportunity to hear from this this dynamic speaker!

@Jill Hamilton Buss Thank you for sharing about the conference and your kind words. I am so sorry about your brother's passing and I am sending love and condolences to you and your family. Please do keep in touch and I hope you are doing ok as you navigate this loss.

Hi Kelsey,
I hope you are doing well. Thank you for sending this. He was AMAZING. The whole online conference was great - I was surprised how impactful it was even via zoom. Thank you for your and the team’s hard work to put it together. Bravo! I should have said that sooner.

You were so kind to me during the challenges with my brother and his failing health. Thank you. He finally passed away last Wednesday. It was a blessing and he lived longer than we thought he would. I am okay - sad but glad he and his amazing wife are no longer suffering.

Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you and I hope you are doing well.
