FREE! Space limited - Peer Support Leadership Training

Multiple days: April 12-14 & 26-28 and May 3-5 & 17-19, 2019

An involved, interactive 60-hour training especially for people who have personally experienced traumas, mental illness and/or addiction in their families, with friends or themselves – as well as all students of behavioral health.
Participants will learn to transform their past experiences into healing for others; explore the recovery principles and practices of hope, mutuality, “being with”, empowerment and community.
We will learn strengths-based language, how to develop an environment which promotes whole health and resilience, and inspires connection enriched by contribution.
We will study the roots and history of Peer Support, and practice how to guide solutions-based planning, keep strong ethics and boundaries, as well as collaborate across disciplines.
We will explore alternative views on madness and harm reduction approaches to addiction; and study renown models of peer support from around the world.

This course is taught by people in successful recovery from behavioral health issues and brought to you from Ionia at NO COST to participants.
