Rockstar Recognition

Benchmarks’ PFE would like to take a moment to “shout-out” one of the Rockstar members of our ClevePart Partnership. Alison Clark is the Permanency Planning Program Manager at Cleveland County DSS and one of our amazing trauma champions.

Alison recently received the Local Government Credit Union Innovation Award for 2018 for her efforts in a local initiative she developed to boost foster parent recruitment and adoption efforts in the county. The innovative initiative that landed Alison the award, Healthy Kids for Healthy Parents was a promotional and marketing effort to spread the word about the need for foster parents and permanent homes for children in Cleveland County.

With the help of her wonderful permanency planning staff, Alison was able to organize promotional campaigns to parallel 5k races, adult field days, and exercise classes put on by the county to get the word out about the need. As a result of the year-long Healthy Kids for Healthy Parents initiative, 17 new foster families were recruited and 11 children received permanent homes! In addition, the county was able to save approximately $200, 000 in funds that may have been spent on more expensive out of county placements.

Alison and her staff’s recognition by the county for her efforts through the Healthy Kids for Healthy Parents initiative goes to show what great things can be accomplished through utilizing community partnerships to join efforts!

Please take a moment to join our ClevePart Partnership in celebrating this Rockstar!
