ACEs Trauma Awareness Symposium

Virtual

ACEs Trauma Awareness Symposium
Mississippi’s first “community-focused” Trauma Symposium hosted by the Essie B. & William Earl Glenn Foundation for Better Living

The Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES) Trauma Awareness Symposium promotes bold ideas and breakthrough approaches that can make a considerable difference to youth, families, and communities in the State of Mississippi.

The ACEs Trauma Awareness Symposium will bring together distinguished experts who will bridge the knowledge gap for individuals from nonprofit, education, health, government, public and private sectors, and communities of faith to explain how adverse childhood experiences, toxic stress, and trauma, are linked to adverse health outcomes; begin to understand the importance of self-awareness and how the body responds to emotional-trauma; draw connections between trauma and educational achievement and work performance; and how communities we can begin to heal by advocating for policies and programs that build trauma-informed resilient families and communities.

*Early bird registrants will receive a 1-hour virtual consultation with designated speakers on implementing or learning trauma-informed strategies within your community
