Reclaiming the Body through Mindfulness, Movement, Stillness and Rest

Joy of Yoga Online

Reclaiming the Body through Mindfulness, Movement, Stillness and Rest
This is the follow up event to Yoga +Mindfulness to Support Psychotherapy and Other Wellness Practices from August 8th

If you love the feeling of an empowering vinyasa class and the calming essence of a restorative yoga class, this is a yoga experience you won't want to miss. In this relay-style class, Julie Johnson, Simiya Sudduth, Jessie Kissinger, and Alicia Delaney will offer different possibilities for integrating mind and body so that you can get curious, experiment, and discover what feels most nourishing to you. Class will begin with 60 minutes of a mindfulness meditation practice followed by movement and breath work that will offer students plenty of opportunities to explore yoga shapes that feel empowering and soothing to their own bodies. Students will be invited to move through each part of the flow at a speed that meets their comfort level. Practice will close with plenty of prop support in a yin +restorative savasana and a calming, guided meditation.

After our 90 minute yoga relay, we invite you to stay after for 30 minutes to learn how yoga can benefit bringing emotional balance into your life based on current research from the field of neuroscience. Register at  www.joyofyogastl.com
