Megan Gerber, MD, MPH is a general internist with a career-long focus on the medical care of trauma exposed women. She is currently an Associate Professor of Medicine at Boston University and Medical Director of Women’s Health at VA Boston. She will discuss the ways in which the COVID-19 pandemic, and other recent collective adversities, may be worsening outcomes for trauma-exposed persons. Trauma-informed care will be discussed and a practical approach to applying its principles in Telehealth encounters will be shared.
