The California Essentials for Childhood Initiative uses a public health and collective impact approach to align and enhance collaborative efforts to promote safe, stable, nurturing relationships and environments for children, youth and families through systems, policy and social norms change.

Brief%20visualAttached are briefs on ACEs in children in selected California cities, with comparison with state and county data from data gathered in 2011/2012.  The briefs were prepared by the Data Resource Center for Child and Adolescent Health, a project of the Child and Adolescent Health Measurement Initiative. The communities include:  Daly City, Fresno, Long Beach (Part 1) and (Part 2), Los Angeles, Merced, Oakland, Richmond, Riverside, Sacramento, Salinas, San Bernardino, San Francisco, San Rosa and Yolo County.

 

We are grateful for the work of Dr. Christina Bethell, Rosa Avita and Elsa Sweek and others of the Child and Adolescent Health Measurement Initiative (CAHMI) that resulted in the creation of these briefs.
