CRI is hiring an Associate Director!

 

Community Resilience Initiative is seeking an innovative and passionate individual to join our organization as an Associate Director (AD). The AD reports to the Executive Director and to the Board of Directors.

Job Overview

The role of the Associate Director is to sustain the resilience-based, trauma-responsive capacity building work at the local, regional, state and national stage for which CRI is recognized.  Success in this position will be evidenced by recognition of its exceptional trainings, conferences, curriculum, evaluation and outcomes-driven performance. The Associate Director will work directly with the Executive Director to learn the day to day operations of CRI, its plans and goals, and become well-versed in performance and operations management under the mentorship and job coaching with the Executive Director. This position supports the name and face for CRI’s ten-year history as catalyst, convener, coach and cheerleader as the nation’s most experienced community network.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Create a master fundraising plan to sustain CRI’s mission using CRI’s template developed with support from the Better Fundraising Company model: Ask, Thank, Report, Repeat. This will be the template for all fundraising. AD is responsible for generating an annual goal of at least $150,000. This is the priority job responsibility of the AD.
  • Expand marketing and development opportunities including trainings, conferences and other revenue-generating elements.
  • As a training organization, the AD will be responsible for training all CRI materials.
  • Retain CRI’s leadership name by sustaining fidelity to science and emerging best practices/principles in all aspects of work.
  • Administer all pertinent nonprofit, business and corporation requirements in a timely manner, including reporting/filings and dissemination of training materials.
  • Design, implement and analyze evaluations, surveys and other instruments for outcomes measurement. Tracks research and reads to stay current on science and technology application to CRI’s mission.
  • Review Strategic Plan at least every other year for goals/objectives/milestones and completion/advancement of such.
  • Write grants and other funding requests to meet operational goals set by Board of Directors.
  • Work with local partners to sustain implementation of CRI education and training.

 

Qualifications

  • Masters level degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in innovative, challenging, entrepreneurial positions. Also works well as team and under direction of the Executive Director and governance of Board of Directors.
  • Self-starter, passionate, motivated, resilient, ability to meet deadlines, persistent, visionary and detail oriented, excellent written and oral communication, well versed in equity, diversity, inclusion practices, not afraid of challenges yet cognizant of risk in protecting the resources and name of CRI.
  • Demonstrated experience in writing reports, researching grant opportunities and successful grant application experience in addition to other revenue-generating experiences (such as conferences, generating sponsorships, trainings and donor management).  Good working skills with technology and office management skills. Demonstrated ability to manage deliverables and deadlines. Familiarity with strategic planning, capacity development, and other organizational/operational skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in evaluation protocol, design and analysis for research purposes.
  • Ability to travel to meet core objectives of trainings and conferences.

 

At-will position, with performance evaluation at 6-month.

Salary commensurate with experience.
