Wichita State University Community Engagement Institute - PACEs Connection (KS)

Kansas PACEs Connection is dedicated to connecting and supporting organizations, systems, and communities who are interested in better understanding the prevalence of ACEs and trauma, recognizing the impact that these have on individual and organizational health, and developing policies and practices that promote resiliency and healing.

Too many emails!!&%@!!

We hear you! With the phenomenal growth of ACEs Connection (we’re now at more than 22,200 terrific members), the volume of content has burgeoned, and email notifications from the site about the latest blog posts and comments can be (OK, OK...are!) overwhelming. Especially to those people (about 17,000 of you) who became members before October 2017, when we changed our system so that new members don’t automatically receive emails about blog posts and comments from ACEs Connection.

So, here’s how to either receive NO more emails from ACEs Connection, OR how to select the type of content you want from the main site or the community sites in which you participate.

How-To: Customize Your Email Notifications for the ACEs Connection Main Site

  1. Go to Your Name in upper top right navigation bar.
  2. Click Notifications in the drop-down menu.
  3. To suspend all emails from the main site and all community sites you've joined, select the Settings box, check the box for Suspend All Email Notifications, scroll to the bottom and click on Update Settings. (Another way to do this is to scroll to the bottom of the next email you receive from the site, and click to unsubscribe.)
  4. To control the types of email notifications you receive from the main site (e.g., blog posts, calendar events), select the ACEs Connection Home Page, make your choices, scroll to the bottom and click on Update Settings.
  5. To choose how to receive your notifications, go to Settings, and choose Email or On-Site Alert. Email means that notifications will be emailed to you. On-Site Alert means that when you sign into ACEs Connection, notifications will appear in your Alert section, which you can access by going to your name in the upper top right navigation bar, and clicking on Alerts in the drop-down menu.
