Just a note to report that we had a great time at our meetup in Oakland last Thursday.

Authors Rona Renner (Is That Me Yelling?) and Louise Hart (The Bullying Antidote -- SuperPower Your Kids for Life), pediatrician Rachel Gilgoff, criminologist Jennifer Lynn-Whaley and I met at the Chop Bar (near Jack London Square) for dinner.

We spent a couple of hours telling our life stories, finding common threads, and talking about our work.

And I forgot -- again -- to take a photo! I WILL remember next time!

These meet ups are so much fun. As we all mentioned during our conversation, we don't have to explain ACEs to each other. The starting point is our common understanding, and our determination to educate people about the research and practical applications.

The next time I'm down in the East Bay, we'll arrange another meetup.

And, in the meantime, I'll arrange one in the Sacramento-Davis area.

Cheers, Jane

It was wonderful meeting such inspiring, amazing people. I felt so energized and motivated after being in all of your company for a few hours. Jane, thank you so much for organizing the meet up. And thank you all for the great conversation.

Indeed - it was such a wonderful evening. I so enjoyed hearing how each of you approach your work with ACEs. It was really inspiring. Looking forward to getting together in the future.

Warmly,

Jennifer
