Behavioral Health Team Now At Kids Creek Children’s Clinic

Child and Family Services is pleased to announce two exciting new initiatives for northern Michigan. With our partners at Kids Creek Children’s Clinic in Traverse City and at Western Michigan University’s Children’s Trauma Assessment Center (CTAC) in Kalamazoo, we are developing an integrated behavioral health practice and trauma assessment and treatment center that will see children and adults for mental health issues.

Tina,

Today the Program Manager came to our Juvenile Probation weekly staff meeting to present information. It is truly a comprehensive program! You're no longer a lone wolf...there's a great pack forming!

Cathy,

It is really great that you posted this as then I can go not as a lone pediatrician (a wild, wild West rogue) with strange ideas and try to change medicine but there are others who also know how important this work is as I do.   This is incredibly exciting.  I have been screening for aces since 2004 (with kids and behavioral problems).   I always felt like a lone wolf and it has been hard.  This is so exciting.  Thanks for this wonderful post!!!

Wow,

I am so EXCITED!!!!!!

I am looking for a new job!!!

But am likely going to Tuscola County, where my mom is from but maybe we can work together to bring this work with the NCTSN K-Zoo/Traverse City site there too.  They need lots of services there as they are terribly underserved too. .

Thanks Tina
