Health Disparities and Supporting Resilience among Children Birth to Five

Municipal Services Building-Innovation Lab, 16th Floor, Rooms C & D

Positive relationships and environments support healthy development and provide the foundation for

young children to learn and develop lifelong strengths they need to cope and adapt to adversity

throughout childhood and the rest of their lives.

Through this "Snack and Learn" workshop, facilitator Acacia Asbell, MSS Program Coordinator for Reducing Health Disparities, MCFH, will help workshop participants to:

1. Describe protective factors and health disparities relating to children birth to age 5 in Philadelphia.

2. Learn about resources and strategies that promote resilience.

3. Connect with other social service and health providers to share best practices to foster protective factors that can buffer the negative effects of stress or early childhood trauma.

Light Refreshments will be provided. Please RSVP as soon as possible.

To RSVP or for additional questions or concerns, contact: or 215-685-5244.
