Virtual, free event

Youth Mental Health Well-Being Virtual Gathering (NAMI SD)

May is Mental Health Awareness Month and the first week in May is dedicated to celebrating children and youth mental health well-being. Historically, organizations like the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and the National Federation of Families for Children's Mental Health select a day and a theme within the first full week in May to observe as “National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day”. Our theme this year is "Flip the Script on Mental Health" and we will be providing an afternoon of enlightening and encouraging ways in which we can all flip the script on ways we approach mental health and wellness.

Starting at 2:00 pm, a Resource Fair dedicated to children, youth, and families! Learn about the system of care and support available to families in San Diego County. Find resources! Learn more! Free to attend! The resource fair is open from 2:00 - 3:00 pm on Friday, May 7 directly before the start of the Virtual Celebration. Plan to check in early and visit the Resource rooms for additional youth and family support. Visit NAMI San Diego's Facebook or YouTube page to participate using the links below. All links for the resource fair will be live from 2 - 3 pm.

EVENT SCHEDULE:

  • 2:00 - 3:00 pm - Resource Fair
