Help Shape the Future of Santa Rosa!
Santa Rosa is in a time of incredible change. The recent fires, housing crisis, electrical grid blackouts, and calls for social justice and equality provide a backdrop for an immensely important discussion on how the City will grow and “bounce forward” to become an even more sustainable, resilient, healthy, and inclusive community. The City is updating its General Plan to tackle these and many other issues that are important to the community.
How Can I Get Involved?
An update to the City’s General Plan cannot be done without involvement from everyone in the community. We need your help!
We want to know from you how the City can best engage the community in the General Plan Update process. The Community Involvement Strategy (CIS) is ready for public review. It details community engagement activities and events that will take place during the course of the project. We want your suggestions and comments about how we may improve or change these activities and events to ensure the General Plan Update process is inclusive.
The Community Involvement Strategy is available on the City’s Santa Rosa General Plan Update webpage. Comments received no later than July 24thwill be presented with the Community Involvement Strategy to the City Council in August. Send your comments and suggestions to GPComment@srcity.org. Join us at one of the following on-line Community Conversations meetings to learn more about the Community Involvement Strategy and the General Plan Update.
