Andy Lopez Film Screening at Worth Our Weight Café on January 29, 2017

Do we still remember Andy Lopez? What was the fallout of the tragic loss of a young boy in Sonoma County? How did this loss divide the community and did we heal? For the last 3 years filmmakers have sought to examine the death of 13 year old Andy Lopez. 40 people were interviewed including the Sonoma County Sheriff Steve Freitas, D.A. Jill Ravitch, members of the County Board of Supervisors, clergy, activists, young people, attorneys, and other. The documentary titled “Andy” explores the tragic controversial shooting that has both divided the community and united it to accomplish needed change.

All the footage has been compiled but this project is still in need of your support in order to make “Andy” a reality.

Please join fellow supporters to fundraise at Worth Our Weight Café in Santa Rosa. The event will feature light food and a first-time showing of a short “ANDY” film trailer and a Q&A with film producers. The filmmakers are seeking donations to complete editing and other necessary post-production for release of the film this year.
