The Hanna Institute Presents: A Day with Dolores Huerta

On September 12th, 2019 Hanna Institute will proudly host the incredible Dolores Huerta as our featured Community Breakfast Speaker.

Co-founder of the United Farm Workers of America, Dolores Clara Fernandez Huerta is one of the most influential labor activists of the 20th century and a leader of the Chicano civil rights and women's movement.

Throughout her work with the UFW, Huerta organized workers, negotiated contracts, and advocated for safe working conditions. As founder and president of the Dolores Huerta Foundation, she continues to work tirelessly advocating for the working poor, women, and children. Huerta travels across the country influencing legislation that supports equality and defends civil rights and developing the next generation of social justice leaders.

Join us as Huerta shares her incredible stories and lessons to inspires action, cooperation, and transformation to overcome trauma and changes lives!

The Community Breakfast Speaker Series is one of three events featuring Huerta. The afternoon will include a discussion with local high school youth and the evening will bring a free Spanish-language community event of food, music and inspiration!
